Fixing rust on a GT-S with panel from a GT - Toyota Nation Forum : Toyota Car and Truck Forums

So the quarter panel behind my passenger-side rear wheel well is rotted (1991 GT-S)...a clean 1991 GT just came into my favorite wrecker's, with a good lower panel.

I know the GT-S widebody flares out on top, but is it the same as the GT lower down, where it folds under to the frame (by the muffler)? The piece I need runs only as far up as the top of the rear bumper (approx 12" from bottom to top of rust)...sure looks the same as the GT-S to me, other than the non-rolled fender well, but does anyone know for sure?

Don't think you can use GT fender. GT fender goes almost straight down. GT-S flare out then come back in. You could cut the GT fender longer and hammer it to fit.

Yeah, and I guess even with the extra prep work it would still be better than bondo.

You can check out my for sale for the whole shell. If I don't have anyone buying the shell, I'll take it apart and part it out.
At the mean time you can think about what else you want.
