93 coupe passenger side trunk hinge, heater core question?

anyone have or can get a 93 celica coupe passenger side trunk hinge? and also is the heater core hard to get at in these cars or not? my car has a small coolant leak and im thinking it might be from the heater core because when i turn the heat on it smells funny inside. if its not too bad i'll try it myself.

Go to a junk yard of pick and pull for the hinge, as far as the heater core goes, its usually a huge deal to get to a heater core, as basically the whole dash comes out in many pieces. I cant say for sure about your car, but that is standard automobile design.

and I forgot to mention, does it smell sweet? Or musty? Has your coolant level been going down? I thoink you would KNOW it if it was coolant, there would be steam and a strong sweet smell. If its just a musty air duct system, thats from mold and mildew growing in there from moisture from the AC.

good luck!

id say its a sweet smell and yes the coolant level does go down. it takes about a week to get down to the fins inside the radiator and then i top it off.

ebay has heater cores for $90 and hinges for $30. That is your best bet other than junkyard, then dealer.
