1987 Convertible Celica Questions
Hi,
I have a 1987 Celica Convertible which I imported from Japan to
Australia. The car is in great nick and I believe it has an ASC
convertible roof.
I think it is ASC as it has an hydraulic pump in the boot on the left
hand side with an ASC part number on the top.
My questions are:
* I have heard there are some bypass valves which can be set to
operate the roof manually. I can't find any on this car - the
hydraulic lines go straight from the pump to the hydraulic arms on
either side of the car. Where would they normally be ?
* How much oil should be visible in the hydraulic pump. There is a
clear reservoir at the front of the pump which is about 2/3 full with
oil. Should it be full to the top or is 2/3 normal ? If it needs to
be topped up I have heard that 10W oil is the go ?
*Does anyone have a manual for the convertible roof system they could
share with me ?
Thanks in advance,
Warren
