98 Celica no power to computer? car won't turn over
Hello,
First let me say this is my first posting here. Reading through the site in the past has always provided me with invaluable info so thanks to you all. Ok, here is my issue that has me stumped at the moment. 98 celica just changed the head gasket and now the car will not start, or turn over at all. The dash clock doesn't work either, or the radio or heater fan. When you turn the key, nothing happens at all, as if the computer isn't getting power. I don't see the check engine light when I turn the key on before starting. Checking the relays under the hood I noticed that the Main relay marked "E/G Main" in the relay box doesn't have any power going to it. Jumping some power over to it will make things in the dash come on, but never the clock or radio or ignition. Is there a fusible link in the harness. I see it mentioned in the schematics but have no clue as to where it would be. I question the fusible link as when we were putting the battery back in, my friend hit the wrench across both batt terminals and shocked himself good, then when we tightened up the batt terminals and tried to start, nothing. Any input you all would have I would appreciate! Thanks!
