6th gen paint code?

Hey,
I just bought a 6th gen celica for my younger brother. Very excited. The car needs a bit of a paint job and I want to get a paint can made for my car.

I am trying to figure out the colour code for my outer car paint.

I am not able to find the vehicle information sticker, which is usually located on the rocker panel of cars, which shows the paint codes, tire pressure limits, etc etc.

I did find an online source (http://www.toyotareference.com/celica#CE) which suggests that my car code is Renaissance Red (3L2).

But, I want to be absolutely certain before I order the code.
Where can I find that sticker/label thing on the 6th gen, which shows the paint code???

should be on the inside of the driver door. At least that's where both my corolla's and celica's have been. it was just three digits by itself at the bottom of both.

The label near/on the driver side diir is not there.
Looks like the previous owner had issues in that location. I have three other cars at home, all tooyotas and the labels are all near driver side door.

Any other location in the car that shows the code?

I'm not familiar with the 6th gen in particular but many Toyotas have the paint code on the build plate on the firewall in the engine bay.
It will be the first half of the C/TR field.
Hopefully it will look something like the older build plates that I am more familiar with
- like the picture at the top of this page:
http://members.iinet.net.au/~stepho/newcodes.htm

Then see if the paint code is listed here:

Following are the only three stickers/labels in my engine bay.

I dont see any paint code on these. Can someone help me figure out, maybe I'm just blind.

I dont think either one of the three lables up there is the identification plate.
I checked the entire firewall and over all engine bay, and could not find the plate.

If someone owns or has seen the similar celica (1994 - 1999), can you tell me exactly where the plate is suppose to be, maybe using an image or photo??

Nope, looks like modern Toyotas don't put the codes in the same place as the older ones.
Looks like I have steered you wrong.

As per another resource on the net, toyotas prior to 1989 had the identification label on or close to the firewall area. Toyotas after 1989 are suppose to have the labels beside the driver door, rocker panel area as its called.

As of right now, I think I would have to rely on the www.toyotareference.com even though I dont want to as I have read alot of places that the codes on that website are not reliable and ended up not being exact.
