gen 7 2000 celica gt engine swap?

hey im thinking about buying a 2000 celica with a blown tranny... rather than get it fixed id rather drop a beams or 3s-gte(gen3). anyone do this swap before? just wondering how hard it will be and what i will need to do it. this would be my first swap so im quite new to this.

I can't say I've heard of anyone doing this swap. A 2zz will swap fairly easy.

a 3sge/gte will be hard and cost some $$$$ because you would need all new engine mounts, the ecu, complely redone wireing harness, most likly diff. or custome axles.
a 2zz is a little more easy but also need new mounts, and ecu
(new mounts means cutting and welding in proper location)
you can also make a mean 1zz n/a there is a kit to make 200bhp and still get like 28mpg look under the 8th gen corolla forum

why the hell would you install an engine that performs less than the 2ZZ? do you have any freaking clue how much it will cost to fabricate mounts to get the engien mounted. and you will need custom axles. wiring, cooling, etc etc etc. put a 2ZZ in there. it bolts in and makes just as much HP. oh and it weighs about half as much.
