timing chain

Fantastic, my nephews 2000 gt finally bought the farm, I took the valve cover off it and the timing chain is hanging in between the cam gears, you can take it off the gears if you had to, I know there is a hydro tensioner on it just under the back cam but is there anything else broken like bent valves?

Bummer.. Are gonna rebuild the head?
I'm in the process of rebuilding my whole valvetrain on my MR2 Turbo. I found that Ferrea Stainless Steel valves are way cheaper than OEM.

the 1ZZ is a non interference engine, you might get lucky and not have bent valves. what i want to know is how did the timing chain break...that just doesnt happen

head needs to come off, probably just bent valves but possibly piston damage as well.
