Gen6 96 celica gt problem...

Hey all!
I have a 96 celica with the 5sfe, and have been having some problems lately. They are fairly similar to other a couple other people's posts but i haven't found my answer there yet so i figured id try my luck.
The car seems to have a problem accelerating between idle and 3500rpms and so. It seems to do alright when into the higher rpm range. It is worse the more gas you give it. it is really jerky when accelerating at lower rpms, and takes sec to get moving from a start. It also idles rough. these problems only exist when the car is warmed up though. It runs normally when first started and still cold.
i replaced the o2 sensor, but am no sure what to do next. there is no check engine light on either. i put some heet in my gas tank, but am not sure that water would have this affect on the car. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

hey guy, just an update, still having problems. i replaced the spark plugs and fuel filter today. i also ripped off the timing cover and checked to make sure that the timing is correct. running out of ideas now.. could water in the intake be doing this? or a vacuum leak? i didn't see any obvious vacuum leaks, but that doesn't mean that there isn't one. i may have to resort to bringing it into a shop and pay a bunch to see what they say.

the only thing that has been done is a short intake with a k&n filter at the end. this doesn't stick down at all, but i guess it could be possible that it sucked up water.. but these symptoms started to occur on a dry day. the fact that it runs fine until warmed up makes me want to lean against water in intake since i would think i would have problems regardless of warmth/run time.
