Keep us abreast of your progress. Just wondering, but I wasn't aware that the 91 5sfe had a MAP sensor. I know of the IAT sensor, but I must be missing something. Let me in on that intake modification if you have time. I've been thinking about doing something along those lines for awhile, but mine is a daily driver and i sure don't want to screw it up.

I'm curious as to what makes you decide to "bore the shit out of the intake manifold"? What other engine work have you done?

im in the prosses of geting my hands on a second 5s-fe head.. with it im going to port and polish it. to add to the afect im also going to bore out the intake ports as much as i can with out limited the strength of the manafold.. this will alow more air to flow threw the system with less drag. IE the engine will not waist enrgy trying to suck air threw a tiny intake system. the 5sfe's intake's runers are alredy rather long.. so by ading a few CC's to it i will actualy add to my torque curve. this mod is not intended to be a Super HP Gain type mod.. im just trying to set the system up so that when i do put on 4-2-1 headers and new high compreshon pistons along with a better fuel system, i will have the CFM's to back up the added power.

most people think that mods add a set amount of HP and thats it... but actualy if u do alot of littal mods.. they help eachother and as such the over all gain is better. im going to incorpirate a CAI into the system as a ram induction from the front fender using atleast 3'' pie's.

Well, you do have a point there, every lit bit helps. I have not researched it, but i wondered if anyone out there manufactures a larger-bore throttle body.
