Lightbulb 4th GTS vs. V6 Stang

So tell me this... I have a 88 GTS Celica (3SGE) with CAI Intake, Catback Exhaust, NGK Plugs and Nology wires, No Back seat, Eibach Springs... Should I be able to beat my friends 97V6 Stang.. he has CAI, Dual Exhaust with Flows, and Pulleys.. (Dynoed out at 147 hp - 204tq)

Yup. But just to be sure throw some toulen in the tank and adv. your timing a few more degrees. Now go cut that horses head off.

What else are you getting done to the head? At a minimum pay for a 3angle valve job and a slight decking of the head to bump CR. Get it on a dyno cause Im sure your going to need to adjust your timing and fuel maps. Advance ignition timing in 2 degree increments till it pings then back off and set. Fuel can be controlled with the help of a low temp t-stat, so if you dont already have one go get one TRD 160*. Perform the AFM mod, still need more try a FPR. If intake timing needs adjusting, no need for adj. timing gears your car already has them....just adv/retard by skiping a tooth on the gear. With the later, one must remember that the dizzy is run of one of the cams, so adj. the valve timing affect the ignition timing and it must be reset after each adjustment.
NOTE: All these mods must to be performed on a dyno so as one can properlly read the A/F ratios.
