How did you check the fuses?
Visual inspection isn't enough.
I had a glass fuse stop working last week.
Looked fine but didn't pass any current through.
I normally bridge the contacts of the fuse holder with my key.
If things start working again then the fuse was bad.

Another culprit is bad grounds.
Look for wires that bolt to the body.
Often rust gets underneath the lug and breaks the contact.
For me it was the ground wire between the two tail lights but yours could be anywhere under the dash.

But since your hazards work, I'd guess that your problem is the switch itself.
Get a circuit diagram (the Haynes manual is worth getting just for this) and bridge the switch connections with a piece of wire.
If it works then the switch needs replacing.

You may want to check the wiring harness connection point at your steering column. Do you have anything else on your steering column that involves switches? If so, do those items still work? Perhaps you accidentally got your foot or leg on the wiring connector that goes into your steering column and pulled it apart.
