Indicator Lights

Hey guys

First time poster. Got a Celica 1998 SSIII the other week and the indicators have stopped working.
Then i push the switch up or down to indicate left or right nada nothing happens
But if i switch off or on the alarm the lights blink.... Any ideas?

I did notice on the dash a warning like... its a wee car with kinda blink lines coming from the back.
Bulbs aint broken as they work when i switch off and on the alarm like!

I checked the fuses and all good so they only other thing I can think of is a relay maybe...???

Also, if anyone has a link or pic of the dash warning lights and what they are ect be well handy!

Any ideas or tips would be a great help,
