Post I got a question ; )

hey guys ..
i have a celica that burns too much oil and i think its the oil rings.
how much is it gonna cost me to fix this problem for a 2001 Celica GT .
some people told me u need an engine rebuilt , so how much its gonna cost me maxx .

Replacing the piston rings doesn't always require a engine rebuild but you might as well do it because the eninge is going to be ripped apart. If your taking it to a shop it's going to be an arm and leg, if your doing it your self your looking at somewhere around 1K to 2K for parts and labor (labor for things you can't do your self).

if you are good at doing things yourself then maybe you could take the head off and drop the oil pan and plates below and just unbolt the rods to remove the pistons. i don't know how the 00-06 celica motors are but honda/acura are easy like that.
