Help Please

I've got a problem in my brothers 92 2.2l celica, its been a while since i worked on one. I am having trouble finding the other end of the downstream o2 sensor and i was wondering if somebody had any pictures or information of where i could find the connector on the engine harness side. I appreciate any info sent.

Does this 92 5S-FE have California or Federal emissions?

well that is the tricky part, my brother bought it not know what has been done to it. It looked like the manifold and cat had been replaced. On top of that the motor blew up so the company that sent us the 5sfe for it couldnt tell us what it was out of. Is there a serial number you could look at to tell which one it might be?

Well, the engine does have a serial number plate on it, but I don't know how to decode it. Perhaps a Toyota service shop can?

You should have an emissions sticker on the underside of the hood, which will tell you if the car has (had?) Federal or California emissions. Unless the ECM was changed, it will only work for the setup it was designed for (Federal or California). Take a look at that sticker and see what it says.

Federal setup Celicas only had 1 O2 sensor, California setup Celicas had 2 O2 sensors, BTW.
