Post Good Deal?

First and foremost, I am new to this forum and i have yet to buy a Celica. I saw a used one that I am thinking of buying. It is a 1993 with the 1.6(i know it isnt the best engine, but i like the bodystyle) They want 2995 for it and it is a 5 speed with 136,000 miles on it. Clean history. It has a dent in the passenger door near the back fender. Is it worth it to buy this car? Also, I would be trading in the car i have now to get it. My current car is a 1995 Firebird 3.4l V6, 64k miles. Bad thing is, i still owe about 7500 on my car, and the trade in is 4800. I wanted to mod my car, but between the insurance and the gas i spend, i dont usually have much left over to mod it. I heard that Toyota's have the longest engine life and less problems than domestics. And one last question for now... Does the 1.6l have a lot of mods? cause with the money i would be saving, i would be buying mods for it. Thanks in advance.

Not a bad price.
2500 is a reasonable price.
I got my 92' celica st w/190,000miles for less than 2,000.
My car has the same engine so here are my mods:
Short ram intake: 32.95 source: Ebay
Cherry bomb performance muffler: 16.99 autozone
stuff to install it: 11.00 autozone, napa
Soon I am getting an ingnition system MSD for around $250

4 subwoofers 2 amps 1 aftermarket sterio: $400.00
source: pawn shops.

I hope this helps.
I have 200,800 miles now and have had zero problems, except for blowing fuses due to my extreme sound.

Question

Only thing is, if i end up buying this car i take about a $3k loss on my current car, then that $3k will tack onto the new car loan *hopefully* I really dont want to part with my car... but i just cant mod it with the money i have to spend on Gas and Insurance. Insurance is $318 a month and i fill up for about $25 every 2-3 days... Thanks for all of your help...
