Looking at a ST165 All-Trac, Need some advice

Thanks in advance for anyone reading this. I'm looking at getting a 1988 All-Trac, Body is in awesome shape, no rust at all, motor runs strong, all the car needs is new inner tie-rods. I currently own a 09 S Corolla and have been looking at a toy to get, and decided an all-trac is right up my alley. I'm not very knowledgeable on these so I just wanna know what to look for. I talked to the down to 2400 as a price, not so sure if that is a good price, so I'm getting input before I sign on the dotted line. I'm going to take a second look at the car before I possibly buy it on Wednesday and wanna know is there anything in particular that I should look for. Car has 170,000 miles. Would appreciate anything that anyone has to say. Thanks again!

yeah alltrac would be the place to go.

But honestly for that price, With a good body and it running well, I'd jump on that. Especially if the clutch has been replaced in its history or still has a lot of life left. A few of the 4th gen celica alltracs I've seen pop up around here are usually almost twice the price and beat to all hell.

Thanks Man. I ended up buying it. I replaced all inner and outer tie rods, and CV shafts. I drove it around for a while then had the wonderful "clutch sink to the floor" happen to me. Replaced the master and slave and its back running well again. I'm gonna work on getting the small loan I had paid off then do some more modding. I really love this car. At times I feel like selling it, but when I drive it, it reminds me why I bought it. I'm thinking im going to buy a full ST205 swap for it. Not that this motor is bad, I just see more potential out of the 205, plus the transmission is way better from what I have read.
