3rd Generation

Was just browsing, and didn't see any in this thread so I thought I'd post mine: '85 GT

Bought this a couple weeks ago, has turned into my baby already.
Saw it for sale on the highway, called the guy up and bought it for $600. Did an oil and oil filter change, spark plug and wires change, gonna change the air filter as well in a few days. Replaced the radiator and hoses because it was leaking like a dam's gates opened.

I guess someone cut off the catalytic converter so it's running off the headers and ROARS louder than my range rover with a hole in the muffler. Since it doesn't have to go through emissions anymore I figured I'll probably just weld some piping in there.

Definitely needs a paint job as is obvious, needs some trim and little bits and pieces here and there. Engine runs strong, is at about 245,000 miles and transmission shifts smooth. Interior is actually pretty decent, no stains that I can see nor are there tears in the seats, and the vinyl or whatever it is on the inside is in good condition aside from a slight tear in the back on the left side.

I've only had it for about 2 weeks now but I'm loving it more every day. Will post more pictures when I get to taking them

That be an O'Rielly special, aka a cheap off the wall intake.
Same with the wiring loom, shift knob and boot, red paint, mini filter. Maybe the exhaust... cant tell the brand

Edit: also the giant red safety switch

Its not mine, but my brother in law's car, i just happen to be working on it
he got it for 500 4 years ago, it currently has the original 5sfe with 258,000 miles
5speed 90 GT Liftback ;]
Little history on the paintjob, When he first got it, it had HOUSE PAINT! 3 COATS!
They had to use a GRINDER to remove the paint >.<
his uncle painted it, the two tone color for only $200 with no clearcoat.

had that for about 2 years, had got into an accident and rode like that for 8 months, his uncle painted it again that black, with carbon fiber style paint, he over did it, the paint is still crap!

still a decent car though runs great, yesterday the car got an oil change with Royal purple 10-30 only because he got it at a cheap price at $15 for all 4 quarts.

im liking that 80's celica up there! ;]

I did this recently to my 4th gen. All Trac body kit without mouldings. Still need to source them as well as a replacement fog light.

I used a Wagner spray gun combined with a gallon of plastidip+thinner.

Came out nicer than I thought it would.

Here is what she looked like before.
