personally, I'd vote to stay with a toyota engine, but ultimately its up to you.

I honestly dont know if the RB would fit, I know in the toyota pickups in place of the 22r people have swapped a 1jz but it was a tight squeeze. Also lexus 1uzfe v8 swaps have been done as well.

Also look into LCengineering they manufacture some 22r engines which are rather powerful

The Skyline's 6 cylinder RB engine won't fit in the RA21's tiny engine bay.
It might **just** fit a 1976/77 RA24 Celica but they have an extra inch or 2 in the front chassis rails to play with compared to your car.
Any 6 cylinder and even the nice and short Lexus 1UZ-FE V8 requires firewall surgery.

Options with a realistic budget are:
- 22R with modified engine mounts and modified crossmember.
- 18R-G (twincam) from Japan (mine makes 160HP at the flywheel, 120HP at the rear wheels)

Slightly pricier options are:
- 4A-GZE (supercharged) with AE86 gearbox.
- 4A-GE 20 valve with AE86 gearbox.
- 3S-GTE (turbo) using a W55 gearbox and an old Australian spec ~1984 ST141 Corona bellhousing.
- 3S-GTE (turbo) using a current Japan spec 6 speed gearbox (from Caldina from memory).

Don't forget to upgrade the suspension and brakes if you want to live to tell the tale.
