you can delete posts... simply click edit, then at the top check the delete box, then onthe right click delete...

also, an engine alone wont do much... you need motor mounts from an alltrac..., ecu, complete wiring harness, ignitor, map sensor, alternator, a/c condenser, power steering pump, belts, replace all hoses that were cut... trust me i just did an engine swap... you dont want to do this without an alltrac front clip...

look it up!

also you can do a turbo kit for 900 bucks in parts... then piping and exhaust needs to be bent and welded... stuff like that.

where in CT? i could help you do the swap if you need help... or turbo whatever you want to do... or if you dont have the skills, i can do it for you and charge you...

im over in newtown. if i was to do the swap id be buying a full front clip. if i was to do the turbo kit, the only hold up it the down pipe, and cat. evry thing else i can get in there no trouble. only set back would be the fact that spending 900 to make a 5s-FTE when i can spend 1600 or so for a full 3s-GTE dosent make make scence when the 5s-FTE would top off in HP at around 200. now biulding up the 5s bottem end would help alot but then im just throwing money at a problum, insted of throwing money at a good idea.

ither way if i do somthing, anything at all.. a fellow TN members help is always welcome

for 200 hp i would say you need 7-9 psi of boost. that is safe in an everyday situation. the only thing i might worry about is the head gasket.

This topic is funny to me, a 5SFTE highest numbers I have seen is well over 500hp. Mike Colin runs it on a MR2. Want the link?

You can build a basic kit for less then $1000!!
Basic Kit

Supra Green top injectors
3SGTE exhaust manifold
CT 26 turbo
2 bar map sensor
3SGTE oil pan or modded 5S oil pan with return line hole
coolent hoses
turbo to manifold pipe
welded up custom exhaust to mate to the 3S downpipe

That is it.

u donnot need motor mounts from an all trac for the 3sgte swap, and u can just build ur own turbo system for the 5sfe, u would need exhuast manifold, ct20b turbo, 3sgte oil pan, injectors, and probly a map sensor from an older turbo supra, or an all trac., and custom oil lines for the turbo, u can probly acquire all these parts for less than 1500, ive seen exhuast manifolds with turbos for 150, and oil pans for 120 brand new
