USA 95 Celica Clutch Problem

Ok so here's the thing, my friend has this 95 Celica, ST, 1.8L, 5 speed car. And I've driven it before when it was fine, and everything was good with the clutch. But now it's been doin this weird shit where you push it in, then go into gear, and instead of grabbing several inches from teh floor, it grabs like almost less then an inch.

So basically the clutch is grabbing way too early, and it makes it really weird and a little harder to drive, and sometimes especially in reverse, it will get totally stuck, and you cant get it out of gear till it dies and you repump the clutch. So far we've replaced the Slave Cylinder, she said they guy bled fluid as well, and I just spent the last like 7 hours replacing the clutch/pressure plate and got it all back together to find out it's still acting weird.

Is there some sort of way to adjust it or something? Maybe it came out of adjustment?

there are two adjustment points on the clutch pedal. the pedal height and pushrod adjustment. the pushrod is on the backside that goes through the firewall, there is an ajustment screw right where it attaches to the pedal itself. on the fron side of the pedal, towards the driver, is the pedal height adjustment.

I would look to see if anything is grossly out of place or spec.

Does the clutch pedal still have somewhat the same resistance to it when pressing, just only grabbing in that last bit of travel befre the floor?

Yeah the clutch seems to have similar resistance to it, but also feels a little weak too. It seems a little too easy to push in if you ask me, but it might just be because I'm used to MY car, who knows. I'll check that out though, I'll look under the dash and see if I can see anything.
