tire question

i'm driving a 5th celica gt-s, i know its front wheel drive. before i proceed on the question i just want to say that both rear tires are thinner compare to the both front tires which are more thicker, would exchanging the thicker tires from the front to back make any difference regarding, steering would be easier, accelarate quicker or would it just be a pain dragging that thicker tire at back? good idea? bad idea?

like what size are the tires? look on the edge it should say somethin like 215/50/15 or somethin to that extent.. and a letter after that will tell you what the tires rating is... R H Z or what not
