needs some help! on my fourth starter!

i got a 5afe swapped 90 st, everything worked fine until my cousin had a minor accident....the car sometimes would not turnover but car has power for all electric stuff.....

thought it was the starter....bought three rebuilt starters from advance auto..they always only last for three month or so..for some reason they keep saying the gears are jammed..they benched it.....no budge....figured they suck at rebuilt starters....

so i went to autozone and get a rebuild duralast.......and after couple weeks the problem come back.........do they really just never test their starters or something?

the whole st is all restored...so the mechanical is basically all new....except the old harness i am using....but i made sure all the contacts are good and nothing is bad...and when the new starter got put in the car would run fine.....but not for long.....

the car runs very good and strong.....just this starter issue is really getting on my nerve......any suggestions?

btw all the efi and starter relays are new too!

What exactly are the symptoms you are getting when your starter begins to go bad? Exact symptoms?

I have 2 Gen 5 Celicas (a 90 and a 91 with 1.6L 4A-FE's), and you said you have a 5A-FE, so do you have a JDM 1.5L version for your 90 ST?

Typically my starter issues have always been an occassional no start, then turn the key off, pull the key out, then do it over again, and it turns over fine. The more frequent this happens, the more I realize I need to change starters. I have had problems with earlier starters rebuilt by "World-Wide", but lately, those starters have been working much better. But they have always lasted 2-3 years minimum, usually longer.
