Will a 2007 Corolla Engine Fit a 2000 Celica GT?

I was wondering if a 2007 Toyota Corolla engine 1.8Litre VVT-i (1ZZ-FE) would fit a 2000 Toyota Celica GT?
Are these engines identical?
Do they mount in the engine compartment the same way as well?
I'm doing a swap because the Celica engine is pooched and need to know if there are any issues with the Corolla engine that will not be compatible with the Celica. Thanks.
