2003 Sunroof Problem - Toyota Nation Forum : Toyota Car and Truck Forums

I got in my celica today and my sunroof will not open. It will raise partially a ways up but not far enough to open. Could this be stripped gears in the motor? If so, how hard is it to change? If someone has had this happen please point me in the right direction.

I have this problem on the right side track, it won't raise. I found a whole assembly with the glass and I'm just replacing it all. you may be able to take the assembly apart and replace just the broken part, 1st toyota parts has parts diagrams that may help you find a part number for the one broken part once its all taken apart.
