a whole new harness will be needed for a 3sgte engine i know that for sure but i am not sure about a 5sfe engine (2.2) becuz really its not that great of an engine for swapping into a car..most ppl try to get rid of them actually. if you want quick and easy power and dont want to learn much then you can go to hondas just like everyone else.

lol i dont think toyota has a 1.5 anything except the new echo. as far as the 4a series goes, there are almost a million different 4ag engines. what kind of output range do you want? a full swap with those engines are pretty cheap

But then again if you want real fun without turbo and you would still beat up on them whimy hondas get a 2nd or 3rd gen 3SGE 156-180hp or get the beams 3SGE 200 or the Beams from the Lexus Alteeza 210hp (Dual VVTI) all are DOHC and very fast. I bet stock to stock a 1st gen 3SGE 135hp would eat most any honda besides a newer prelude and a s2000. And yes most all yota engines hold nos just as well as hondas and you can do the same with a toyota engine that you can to a honda just so many people have hondas cause they realize they have cheap made performance parts. If everyone made the parts for toyota more toyotas would be out there. My Opinion get either a 3SGE or 3SGTE www.toysport.com is a good site for your swap or try ebay you can always find full 3SGTE swaps and sometimes Beams 3SGE swaps. Well I gotta go. I just want you do know dont doubt toyotas just doubt the manfactured parts made cause there is little compared to a honda.
