2001 Toyota Celica Engine Swap

I have a 2001 Celica GT 1ZZ-FE with an automatic transmission that has a blown engine and what I would like to know is this. If I buy a 2005 GT 1ZZ-FE engine to stick in it, what would the differences be to make it run? I want an 03 and up because of the oil consumption problem and I can get an 05 for a good price. I have read this here, ( http://www.justanswer.com/questions/1a68r-hi-i-have-a-2001-celica-gt-1zz-fe-motor-that-needs )and this post, (http://www.newcelica.org/forums/showthread.php?t=224006 ). My 05 engine that I am getting is a long block. Can I leave the 2005 intake on the engine? Is everything the same as the 01? Does the 2005 1ZZ-FE have DBW? Wow, I just read on this post that the switch to the DBW in 03 just pertained to the 03-05 GTS Celica's? Here it is. http://www.celicahobby.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Number=1953371596<--------Is this true? If so, is this statement not true that was on the Just Ask link?
"The engines are not direct replacements. The 05' 1zz-fe acquired the electronic throttle control, no idle air control valve anymore, a planar-type air-fuel ratio sensor, and different knock sensor construction. There are major differences between the two engines. You're better off finding the same year engine." <------- Could this statment be because it is for a 2005 Matrix engine?
Here is something else that has got me puzzled.
Drill/tap 3 holes in block to accept GT Passenger Side Axle Bracket
Wouldn't the 05 engine already have the three holes for the axle bracket, or is this because it is a Corolla engine?

I have searched and searched for two days now to try to find out if this switch will work without major problems. I don't know what to believe and what not to. I called Toyota up and they didn't have a clue because they said they didn't offer technical help, so they transferred me to the nearest Toyota dealer and the idiot said they would call me back in 20 minutes, which they didn't, and then I called back and left a voice message and they never did call back. If it wasn't 30 miles away from where I live, I would go there and make sure they gave me answers. Has anyone on here ever put a 03-05 1ZZ in their 01-02? I have to have an engine for my boys' car and I want to do it right. It blew up about 4 months ago, so he has been Carless because he was Careless, LOL, because he ran it out of oil, but after I read about the oil consumption problems and considering this engine outlived most of the engines from it's year and age, (235,000 miles), I can't complain. Thanks.
