Modify 2003 GT to GT-S

I was wondering if it would be hard to modify a 2003 GT into a GT-S.

Most likely just the engine and transmission.

I talked to my friend about swapping the transmission and he said he sees no reason why it wouldn't fit and if anything just watch out for different steppings on it and adjust accordingly.

I didn't ask him about putting the 2zz engine in it or if there would be any issues with doing that however I assume there will be some things to watch for if I do go about doing that.

I would have just bought a GT-S but I couldn't find any with a decent amount of miles on it (Under 100,000) and in this good of condition.

Anything else worth modifying/needs to be modified to do this? Is it even safe to do it?
