Question AfterMarket Stereo suggestions

HI,
The CD Player on my 2000 GT-S broke recently and i was thinking about getting an after market stereo, any suggestions?? i looked through the forum and i see people made come commentes about having electrical interference when they installed after market strero. Is this trur?? someone suggested to solder 4 extra resistors to the harness wireing to reduce the noise. I was thinking about getting one of those harness the plugs into the factory harness so i don't have to cut the original wires. should the stereo have 4 pre-amp outs?? what about the woofer out and antenna?? any help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance

look forward to paying $300.00. A good sterio should cut out any interfierence. Half the stuff you have worded I never heard before. But I will try to help.

Atenna out is a universal connection (never an issue)
woofer out? Do you mean RCA Pre-outs? Those are for your subs.\
Yes you need those.
And don't forget to wire a Remote turn on lead. Which is your REM cable.

Also this thread should be in the audio forum.

not true, there are 2 kinda of antenna plugs, a larger one (which will be on most any new stereo you buy) and a smaller one, however, chances are you will have the larger plug. might i suggest pioneer. they are not top of the line but are good quality and decent price. you dont need to spend 300 bucks on a freakin CD player. the remote wire isnt a must unless u have subs in which case you will need RAC cables and power lines run and so on and so forth. one question for ya, what year is your car?

ok i didnt see that you had a 2000. you will definately not have any problems with the antenna. if your looking to replace your stock antenna i have a european antenna that would look great on your car. mount over top of the rear window and itll look killer. lemme know if your interested VIA e-mail @ colcol514@hotmail.com

RAC??????
RCA pre outs!
Come on. Why do you have to push the issue of attenas for toyotas use the larger one. Because its more common all will accept them. Hense UNIVERSAL in a sense.
