Teikin pistons NPR box

I had my 1ZZ engine bored .020 over and orderd Nippon Piston Ring brand, pistons and rings, but when I opend the box the pistons are Teikin( cheap chinese). I called the machine shop and they said they orderd them right from Nippon piston ring and the must be out sourcing.

I always thought that Nippon piston ring made /sold quality products.

Anyone have a contact # for a NPR supplier?

Though both brands are probably both cast aluminum alloy anyway.

I called their main office in LA california today and was told that NPR only sells Teikin pistons in their piston sets. I was also told that NPR does not make pistons so they must outsource them.
