i m new to this forum i have a 2000 celica gts automatic with blown motor. i m looking for a motor if anybody got one or any idea where i can get one cheap and reliable near maryland baltimore please let me know. even if u have a crashed total vehicle with good motor i will pay for it and tow the whole car out of your place. 2ZZ-GE

For around here, I would check craigslist but there wont be too many that pop up on there, more so a lot of 1zz engines. Also newcelica.org has a very active community for the 7th gens.

You may be able to find a low milage one through a japanese engine importer. Japaneseengineimport.com is located in Sterling VA, so not too far away. A few guys I know have used them and I haven't heard anything bad about them. They dont have it listed on their page but if you give them a call they may be able to source one for you.

If you dont mind me asking, where around Baltimore are you located?

Check out Monkey Wrench Racing. They specialize in 2ZZ. They even sell race-built 2ZZ motors. You can pick up a stock 2ZZ motor from them for about $4000 or so.

thanks guys for ur respond and rob i am in perryhall i m gonna hold on buygin new engine i think alli need to do is replace valve cause i gt no compression in 2 or 3 cylinder as soon as i get confirmation that car is mine i will take the head apart and check the damage. thanks again
