Weapon r sri 00 celica

Ever since i put in my sri for my 00 celica gt, my gas mileage dropped way more than it should. The installation instructions were very confusing. I have one sensor not plugged into anything simply because theres nothing to plug it into. can anyone help me out?

oh and my engine check light isnt on so idk what the problem is

Did the sensor that is currently unplugged go into the stock intake between the filter and the throttle body? IIRC right behind the filter?

There should be either an Air Intake Temperature sensor, mass air flow meter, or it may be a combo air flow meter/AIT sensor. If this is not plugged into the intact tract the ECU will not recieve correct information about the air flow and will not have the optimal air/fuel mixture. A lot of times on these intakes a hole has been drilled or has to be drilled for these sensors.

well it wasnt the MAF sensor but yeah i think it did go into the back of the stock box. but if i drill a hole in the intake, do i just screw the connection onto the intake? or does it go inside?

Well it looks like a vacuum sensor/switch, after a little searching around I found this:

Hopefully this will lead you in the right direction.

Also, I recommend resetting the ecu so that it can learn new fuel mapping based on your intake. Just disconnect a battery terminal and wait 5 minutes or so, then reconnect.

EDIT: I also found this
