Ok guys some of you may know this from other fourms and if so hey again, and for those of you who dont here is my build.....

a long time ago in a galaxy far far away...
sry watching the family guy star wars films while i do this kinda thought it was funny but i guess i should start with im the guy building the first road going 2jz GTE swaped RWD converted 7th gen celica.... i know some of you are like that at this point but stay with me. my name is josh i have had a few toyota's over the years. this build all started after i posted on my facebook wall... day dreaming mind you... that "hmmm a 2jz celica would be dope" and my buddy don posted... "Josh you and your pipe dreams" so i said to my self i got your pipe dream don and with out a plan i started to buy parts. i had a running 7th gen GT celica that had nothing wrong with it and i started to hack it up and part it out..... Now you might ask where did the hmmm i want a 2jz come from well it came from me missing this

i had a lexus SC300 with a 2jz gte swap and it was a monster

WHEN I SAW THE PRICE I ABOUT FELL OUT! these things go for over 600$ with out subframe or suspension or brakes! EPIC WIN FOR WRONG PRICE
i picked up some parts i got these 40th anv rx8 wheels on a trade for a eday intercooler with tires

and after

^^^^^^^ had to cut this for the rear end to clear

and the peice i cut out im going to reweld in like this.... i think... and put a sheet in the gap and weld that up

ok now to the good stuff guess who i got to meet this weekend?

for the noob that dont konw this is tanner foust he drivees the RWD scion TC
so im talking to tanner about what im building and i asked him how did u keep so much of the stock car with out a full tube frame cuz this is what im trying to do.... also u are my drift god...... he was nice enough to get his team to strip the car for me and put it up on jacks so i could see the under side!!!

i have pics of how they did every thing but out of respect to tanner and his team im not posting the pics from under the car im not shure if they would be ok with that... so after a few mins of talking about the stock frame will support the V8!!!!!!!!!!!!! tanner gave me a tire off the car and signed it and told me to keep in touch on his website about the project ... def have a pee pee crush no homo
here are some pics of a few things i saw there are just to many pics to upload if u wanna see more u can hit me up on FB

OFFSET IS EVERYTHING

AND THE MADNESS STARTS

OK so then we get to the part of WTF are we gonna do with the wiring to make this work and i found Phoneix

ok lets start with this

The lexus suspension is in there is some more welding that needs to be done but the upper plate is done for the most part

ok now i know its ruff but i had to stick weld the whole thing in to make it as strong as i could im gonig to clean it all up but here is the new plate installed

ok now the 2jz fits under the celica hood with minor modding

just to prove its under there lol

here it is with open hood

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

here is the minor modding

Wow... That's one heck of a build! I tip my hat to you, sir. She's going to be one fast and squirrely ride with that short of a wheel base and all that power but boy will it be fun! Just remember to put the cherry on top with a K&N air filter

1. the celica suspension will not work with the lexus subframe, also it will handle the 2jz better than what the celica would.

2.the car also needs to be 5x114.3 to match the rear end and if you keep the celica suspension you would need to run an adapter to fit a 5x114.3 wheel. that puts the front wheel base wider than the rear

3. if you keep the celica suspension you keep the celica rotor set up. this means you keep celica brakes... going to the lexus is300 suspension you keep the lexus brakes, they are the size of a normal celica bbk and you can turn the lexus brakes into bbk for less than 300 bucks by using a supra TT brake conversion.

4. the celica suspension will not support the weight of a 2jz nor the power it will put down

i hope that answers your questions if you have any more let me know

cheers!
