Lightbulb 1990 suspension

so i just got my first celica it has 160k miles on it but that sucker is still quick and you can hardly feel it shift. but the suspension is all crap. it needs alot of bushings no suprise its 20 years old i was just wondering if anyone had any input on my problems it seems to have some steering wonder going on. are there any common problems that would cause this i still need to dig into it but the tied rod ends seem solid. i think it might just be that i need new bushings all the way around but another opinion would be nice. let me know what you think

Possible that a belt slipped in the tire or the alignment may be a bit off. As for bushings, most are pressed in a can't be replaced seperately or as with the case of the rear end, they are spherical bearings rather than bushings. I couldn't sway find bar mount bushings when I had to replace mine, but was able to replace them by just googling "17mm moog sway bar bushings" (you may have a slightly different size) and crossed the number to a cheaper brand at an autoparts store to a brand that I didn't mind hacking up. the only difference was that the part number I found were about half an inch too tall, I just cut them down and they have worked great ever since.

yeah i was afraid of that. i am going to most likely do like you said and alter the bushings as for the non changable ones i may end up doin a custom suspension on it if i have to get new parts anyway. either way im excited this is my first rice burner im building. i built up a 75 nova a 64 impala before this they were fun but im trying my hand at something new. any ideas one suspension brands that will be good. ive gotten all to used to the order a junk yard part rebuild it to my specs and installing. thanks for the feedback

Tein, Megan Racing, H&R is what I would go with. Progressive also makes some sway bar upgrades.
