Heavy heavy vibrations after drifting in snow

There was a snow storm and I found an empty parking lot that was unpaved. I starting drifting, making sure that I didn't hit the road for any reason. Suddenly I heard some clicking so I stopped. I then accelerated off the snow and I didn't hear it anymore.

Today I drove the car on the highway. I went about 80MPH and the whole car started shaking. This wasn't average shaking, this was enough to make the moonroof continuously bounce and the inside of the car shake violently.

I drove the car back home at 60MPH (Still vibrates but not too noticeable) and I checked everything out. The rear right tire has cupping (Yokohama AS430) and the CV joints click (been doing it for a while) but the rubber on them are in excellent shape. Also the car doesn't bottom out or look sideways from the back or front.

Any ideas what went wrong? Is this a major problem (engine wise with mounts etc) or just something with the drive train? Can anybody please help me, I only have 60k miles on it.

Could drifting in a snow filled parking lot (settled wet snow so the car slips easily) have ruined something? I'm really scared to drive now after hearing about the Ford Windstar axle recall.

You sure you didn't lose a wheel weight and now they're unbalanced? It would explain why it only happens at speed.

Playing in the snow should not have hurt anything unless you hit a curb or pothole. Get the tires / wheels looked at.

@MR2Jedi
I took it to a private repair shop by me who checked it out for free and said that they had no idea why it was vibrating and they couldn't get fast enough because of the weather to see it vibrate. They also said that I needed new shocks in the back and new CV joints in the front. They quoted the following (Parts and Labor):

2 front axles $577 (Warranty covers $485)
2 rear shocks $568

The said that the vibrating should go away after the new axles in the front and an alignment.
Does this sound reasonable? Should I ask them to check the wheel weights?

@Zembonez
I drove drifted and then my friend drifted while I recorded from outside. There's no curbs around and I know I didn't hit a pothole. When my friend was drifting, I heard rapid clicks in the middle and yelled at him to stop so I don't know if that caused anything.

Here's a video of the clicking I heard.

the clicking could be the axles. i had the same problem on my celica. my axles were shot and when i turned the wheel it clicked. as for the vibration, i would agree with MR2jedi with the wheel balancing. i had the same problem.

Well I got the front axles replaced under my service plan and the vibrations are gone. I'll get a wheel balancing done within the week through Sams Club, they'll do it for free.

Thanks for all your guys help

Lol that happens to me all the time. The snow gets packed inside your rims unevenly and at higher speeds it causes nasty vibrations because the weight of the snow throws your tires of balance.
