3SFE Engine Information

Hello all, I just need some basic information about the 3SFE engine.

I have a 1993 Celica import and it has the 3SFE engine in it, i sadly managed to run the engine dry and damaged something inside.

My question is are all 3SFE engines the same? So if i strip it and need to replace the something, as its an import its quite difficult for me to get parts.

Would i be able to use parts from another car with the same engine? as it would only be internal parts?

If anyone can help me out it would be very much apriciated

Thanks,
Joe

AFAIK, all 3S-FE engines are the same mechanically. You can see a list of cars the engine was used in here.

I think you could swap in a 5S-FE from an OBD1 camry or Celica (pre-1996) for a little bump in torque.
