tach wire on my 2002 celica

I am hooking up a remote start to my 2002 toyota celica and I am having a problem finding the tach wire I hooked into the brown with white strip wire at the ecm but that didnt work any help I would apreciate I was also told that I can hook it in at the coil but I cant find that eather

the coils have four wires going to them and all of them test positive the tach wire needs to b a negative am I looking at the wrong thing?????

Wow I guess I'll help you since it seems like the people in the Celica forum are assholes.

TACH BROWN/WHITE (-) @ REAR OF INSTRUMENT CLUSTER If you need to know any other wires for any car, Bulldog Security is a good place for color codes and locations.
