Gen5 1991 ST Timing Belt Question

1991 ST with 100 k original owner miles. Never had Timing Belt changed. Current issues include rough running, engine noise, start cold problems, rpm running high before shifting. Guessing it could be timing belt. Any clue on the cost & number of hours to replace and what else would need replacement at the same time?

Thanks for your help>

If the belt has never been changed, you're past due and I would get that done, but the symptoms you described don't sound like a timing belt issue.
When's the last time you did a complete ignition system tune up? Fuel filter and air filter?
Also do you have and ST 184 or ST 185 ?

Yes, if its never really had a tune up, it would be worth doing that before replacing the timing belt to see if your problem resolves. There is a chance the belt stretched or skipped a tooth. If you do end up replacing the timing belt, its usually a good idea to replace the water pump and the cam and crank seals while there as well.

Should be an AT180, I would imagine ~3-4 labor hours + $100 or so for all the parts.
