J-spec 3sgte + 92 celica stx = ??

Well, i just sent flashoptions.com a cashiers check for $3,700.00 and will have my 3s-gte on the way. This engine comes with a apexi front mount intercooler and apexi ECU. It also has all the front and rear assemblies for awd set up, complete set of Tein shock absorvers, set of rims, and an original Carlos Sainz body kit. Also an upgraded turbo and thermal covered turbo piping. All in all its a complete front clip for a swap.(hopefully the people are telling the truth) They said it has 255 bhp with the mods on it, so i thought that was nice. I do have a question though for any of you experts out there. Im going to be running it FWD, and at this horse power rating, what kind of track times could i expect? Any suggested upgrades to help me get more power out of this great engine??

dude u over paid...i hope those options are new........the 5sp 5sfe tranny will be mate with the 3s motor well....times...expect close to 14 (if ur lucky then 13's). Also, in the future to change the tranny to that of a 5sp camry/solara...u will be much happier..there are a few of these swaps already done at www.celica.net *under the forced induction forums* man...u overpaid....

from what i know... your gonna need to run an older 3sge tranny which cant handel more then 250hbs and then it would blow... youd have to invest into a solara tranny which is suuposed to handel a lot more abuse and power.

yeah invest in LSD you'll need it.

that much hp to the front wheels could be a bad thing...you wont be able to drop the clutch out much without sitting their spinning your tires for about a second...even with lsd...that much hp is still going to make your tires spin and if you only have 2 wheel drive and both are spinning like crazy it will almost make lsd pointless at the track anyways...on road courses it would be different.
