okay so my problem is that i completely rebuilt a 5sfe out of a 91 celica and put it in my 88 celica

problem is after i got it up and running it started knocking so i pulled the head and the number 2 cylinder is coming up higher than the block surface and when i pushed on the top of the cylinder it went back down flush with the block

so who knows whats wrong with this engine its my first rebuild so it could be almost anything i guess

did you check to see if the rod cap was still tightened

yeah i droped the bottom end the other day and it had spun 3 of the 4 rod bearings which my dad wouldnt let me get machined so now hes paying for it
