Honestly by the time you turbo the 7a you might as well just swap a 3sgte, the 7a can handle around 7lbs of boost, granted some people are running more but the reliability of the engine when you turbo an N/A car goes down dramatically, look into a 3rd gen 3SGTE swap, most of the swap is pretty easy, you add a motor mount from a gt to the passenger side, splice and extend a few wires, and get the transmission from a GT and basically thats it... well not as easy as that but you will reap much more reward for the set up

ya.. ive been looking into doing a 3sgte swap. but could you still make it just fwd with the gt transmission?

Yes, the S53 or S54 transmission is only FWD.

You will need GT shifter cables, GT throttle cable, Gt passenger side motor mount, plus some other odds and ends
