Phantom start up issue.

So I pull into work yesterday (ironically I work at Advance Auto Parts) and turn my car off to go in. Well I went out again a few hours later to move the car because the shipment truck was coming. I turn the key and hear a pop and nothing happens. So I shut it off and try again, nothing at all. First thought was that the starter went engaged and got stuck. So I used our test equipment to check the battery. Battery is fully charged and brand new. Starter is showing no power... So I take it out and bring it in the store to the test bench. Starter is dirty but tests ok. I installed a new one anyway. Tried it again. Nothing at all. So I try the relay. Nothing. I checked the wires, they are fine. Ok... So it must be the starter neutral safety switch. Change that... Nothing. Wtf else could it be? My dad said to take the grounds off and clean them with a wire brush. I'll be trying that after work, but is there anything else it could be?

When I turn the key the clock and radio dim like it's putting power somewhere but nothing happens. No noises either.

I don't have an auto... Hense my changing the clutch neutral safety switch. And I'm almost positive it was the right relay. There is no security system on it either.

Sorry hah. Figured it out today. We ran more tests to see if I was getting spark or power to the starter and I wasnt... So we thought it was the ignition switch. Nope.

Turns out that when I did all the front end seals, we put the valve cover on pinching injector 1 and injector 4 wires. They were shorting out and blowing a fuse ( that I didn't see and didn't think had anything to do with the rest of the system since it was labeled "am2") in the engine bay fuse box. The fuse barely looked blown and I only noticed it because I got pissed and started pulling out every fuse.

Fixed the issue and taped the wires. Runs like a champ now.
