Hi forgot to mention in title, it's a 5 speed. Anyhow Iv'e been having a hard start problem after the engine has been running for a while., when the engine is cold it starts up just fine, but when I have been driving around a while and I come out of the store 15-20 mins. later, it won't turn over, there is a distinct difference in engine sound when it it's abut to turn over. I will try to record it if I can. I wait a while and eventually it will start up but I have to give it quite a bit of gas. I just did a tuneup and changed plugs, wires, rotor and cap and the ignition timing is by the book. When I changed the plugs there was oil on plugs 2 and 4 so the valve gasket and tube seals probably are bad. The only reason I mentioned that is because the Haynes book says that would cause "poor oil management" but this seems more like a fuel delivery problem, my guess is possibly clogged fuel filter, bad gas pump or bad injectors. I was told that there is a valve connected to the fuel pump and iti's like a pressure valve in a tire that sometimes gets stuck but I don't know where to look for it. The first thing I'm going to try is Berryman in the tank and then I will replace the filter and so on, least expensive first.
So I would like to hear what your experience been if any and what you think it might be? Oh I almost forgot not sure if this is relevant but I have an OBD2 Scanner and check it regularly since the Check Engine Light Is On, and the only code it's spitting out is "P0110 DTC - IAT Circuit Malfunction" Someone suggested taking out the sensor and cleaning it and putting it back but getting at the bolts holding it is not easy since it's pretty close the firewall and there is a bar making the space tight.. I don't know what to think at this point
Thanks

...the IAT sensor shouldn't be hard to get to. The Throttle position sensor and idle air control valve are both located on the throttle body, which sounds like what you described, the intake air temp sensor should be either on the air filter housing or on the intake tube.
mine disconnected itself once and threw the equivalent OBDI code.
I agree with both your responses, I'm starting to wonder if where I was told the sensor is, is correct. I"m going to take a picture of where I think it is and post it and maybe you guys can tell me if it's correct.
Thanks
The IAT sensor is super easy to get to. Its the Intake Air Temp sensor. Its located on your piping from the airbox to the TB. The way your supposed to test it is warm up some water, dump the sensor in and take resistance readings from it. Then check the chart to see if its in spec.....let me see if I cant round up that chart somewhere.
Found it, reconnected it, check engine light now off, no OBD codes, I doubt it will solve the problem since the code started after my mechanic replaced the intake hose and the hard start problem existed before that, will have to see if it persists.
Thanks
