1990 Toyota Celica GT fuel filter, where can I find it underneath the hood?
Where is the fuel filter located in my baby? Is it possible to reach for it myself?
I recently fixed the issue of my car dying. It had 0 spark. Not enough juice was cranked. Had the igniter [ICM] replaced. Fixed the job. My car was beautiful all week and a bit.
However, a new issue began of having a rough idle to when I'm cranking the engine [no it has nothing to do with the ignition, I have a new starter, the cranking itself is beautiful, it was just a matter of getting the ENGINE running. It would start up really rough].
Eversince I started filling up gas, my car started acting up again [dying on me]. Yesterday I filled it from a quarter tank up to only half a tank, it died on me once, but was running beautifuly the rest of the night. Today I decided to fill up my tank full..I must've ignited some sort of a massacre..It started having a lot more trouble to get my engine running, as well as dying on me occasionally.
I don't have any stalls, any fuel leaks, any white smoke, any rough idles when it's on the road. The only 'sign' I'd get is the smell of fuel to when i first get the engine cranked.
I'm convinced this is a fuel injection issue. Narrowing it down, it doesn't make sense for it to be a bad fuel pump because as soon as the fuel pump goes bad, it's kapish, donezo. It COULD possibly be clogged up fuel injectors [i bought the 'Lucas' brand cleaner today but what good will this do to me NOW when my tank is too full to use it]. It could be crappy injectors that needs to be replaced. Or, hoping this is the case, it could just be a worn out fuel filter. Must start off with the cheapest deal.
I'm aware I can figure sh*t out more clearly if i test out my fuel pressure, but I don't have a gauge for reach at the moment.
Any possible tips will be appreciated!
