I put oil on my car yesterday 10w-30 Castrol
I put in 2 QTs because i need oil.
And when i was driving home i was on the freeway,
I was smelling something and right when i arrive home
i saw smoke comming out, it was like white/grey smoke.
What could this be?
Thank you
It is also making like a clicking noise,
like click....clock.
And it seems like something is burning.
I drove it today and it still happened.
I heard the same noise last time.
click clock.
It never did that before, and all i did was put oil.
I checked the coolant, thats fine.
The clicking noice only happens when i turn off the car.
Thats the only time ive heard it.
Tomorrow im getting a oil change and tune up.
Hopefully that will help.
I figure out what the smoke was.
My car is leaking oil, and so the smoke was from oil burning.
Im taking my car to the mecanic this weekend to fix the leak
hopefully its not nothing that cost alot.
Yeah thats what i was thinking. And yeah, the smell is terrible.
I don't know where the valve cover gasket it though, but yeah,
i'm pretty sure thats what it is.
I'm taking it to the mechanic on Friday.
The valve cover is the lid on your engine. It's easiest identified as where the spark plugs go in. The gasket around the base of that dome rectangle is your valve cover gasket. The grommets are under the spark plug wires where those four nuts are.

I dont see any oil dripping from the engine though.
Like where i think the valve cover is.
Maybe its leaking from the backside.
I really dont know.
Could it be a hose or something?
Shouldn't be. Oil doesn't run through hoses on your car. It may be down the back on the manifold and down the exhaust. It's more common to leak from the back
