gen 7 7th Gen engine swapping

Hey,

I've got a 2001 toyota celica gt (standard) that is burning oil, and i would like to to drop a new engine in it. im hoping to get my car up to 250hp but i can find a good compatible front wheel drive engine.

Does anyone know of a compatible engine that would be appropriate for what i want?

What kind of money are you looking to spend? 250hp at the wheels or crank? well either would require stronger pistons at the minimum and some kind of forced induction. Try researching on a Celica specific forum for the 7th gen Celica.

gen 7

Im not gonna be to picky about the horse power i would just like to be around 250. The money depends more on what the situation is at the time i make my final decision on an engine, but i definitely wanna stick with a toyota engine

Im also new at the forums so im having a hard time finding the 7th gen engine swap forums, but im definitely gonna keep on trying

Thanks

Do you really want 250HP to the front wheels? Do you think you can put that kind of power down in such a light car?

You're going to have to do some work on your suspension if you want that kind of power.
