4th Generation Linkage

Hi i have a 88 Celica GT that i replaced the transmission on, the old transmission was run w/o fluid and seized into first gear. while trying to pull it out of first gear before replacing it i apparently stretched the shifter cables. how can i replace these? hopefully not too hard?? any way to adjust them???? any advice would be helpful!

im guessing you have a manual since you said "cables". okay so starting at the shifter there are two clips, one on each cable that mount them to the shifter after that 2 shims right under the radio. there is a rubber piece and a metal plate that screws into the firewall on both the inner and outer sides. on the transmission there is 2 shims holding them there and 2 clips on each arm of the shift selector on the transmission

i have a similar problem, but im to too sure where to get cables without paying a fortune from the dealer. any idea?

hope that helps!
