Buying a 3S-GTE motor

I have located a 3S-GTE motor for my 91 celica GT, and I was thinking of buying it. I dont know too much about cars, so Im just wondering what kind of questions should I ask about it, and what should I look for?
Its priced at $1300US, is that expensive? good deal? or what?
please reply and help me out, thank you.

is it just for the motor??what about the wiring harness???ecu??you need those things to complete a swap...it's a bit expensive if it's just for the motor...my suggestion would be finding a half cut...and it would be close to what you're gonna be paying for that 3sgte and you will get everything you need....even a hood...make sure to check the turbo first...see if it's still good..make sure you get a compression test..or just bring a mechanic with you that's gonna be doing your swap...he should know what to do...
