What type of oil do I use for my 3. gen. 3s-ge engine, semi or fully synthetic?

Any special brand that is best and what grade? Was going to buy Mobil semi 10-40 or something like that. What do you say about oil for this engine?

Everyone has their own opinion about oil. Most synthetic blends are a scam at only being a few percent actually synthetic with a massive markup. If you don't burn any oil and you plan on keeping the car around for a very long time and dont mind spending the extra for syn then go for it. If you don't meet all three of those, I would just go for the OE weight conventional. Also as far as I know mobil does not make a semi synthetic. Only full synthetic, conventional, and conventional with additives.
