USA 01 Celica GT help !

Hey Everyone! I am new to this, so please be patient. My wife has an 01 Celica GT. It has been using oil for a while. If she lets the car idle, there is a big soot patch on the driveway. Spoke with one of my co-workers and he said that there is a diaphragm in the throttle body that can rupture and cause this. Any help or a direction to begin will be a great help. Thanks and I am pleased to be part of the Toyota Nation. By the way, I have an 02 Tundra, K & N Cold Air Kit, true duals with 40 series Flowmasters......runs like a scalded cat!

No, they have piston ring issues. ALOT of information out there about it, but long story short either keep adding oil or replace/rebuild the engine.
