on top retractor repair. where to find diagrams

the motors are made by Globe on behalf of ASC (American Sunroof Corporation) and they only will sell you a pair of whole motors, not parts, for about 250 or so each. Globe wouldn't give me any specs because that is property of ASC.

for the rest of the roof, i found a disassembly procedure on autozone's website one time. there's nothing in the Haynes manual.

You didn't say which year you were working on, and I know there are at least three generations of them, because my ex-wife has owned all three and still has a '97. Village Toyota has great parts breakdowns, like the following for the '91 - '93 Celicas:
